Cinderella: A Magical Play Date

When Sophie and I saw that a new Cinderella movie was coming out we wrote it into our calendar right away. We talked about it for months and were so excited for our little mommy/daughter date.
Sophie and I wanted to invite our besties, Boston and his mama Meg. I was feeling a bit bad that it was such a girlie movie, but Boston was not only a good sport, but a true little gentlemen.
You would have died at the cuteness of these two! Everyone at the movie theatre was taking pictures of them paparazzi style. They had so much fun eating treats and popcorn. During the ball scene, Sophie was up dancing and twirling along.
After the movie, Boston and Sophie played pretend prince and princess on the theatre steps.
The movie...Oh the movie! It was so darling! We enjoyed every minute of it. I really liked the message and theme of the movie. It wasn't just about the fairy tale and the prince and princess falling in love. It was mostly about inner beauty and character; the idea that good triumphs over evil, or that kindness is better than mistreating others. I really like this quote from the film..."Where there is kindness there is goodness. And where there is goodness there is magic." Even after being treated so poorly, Cinderella was able to stay true to who she is and she had the courage to be kind. I hope I can teach my littles to always be kind to others in this way.
This film is a captivating rendition of the classic story that is touching and visually beautiful. It has an amazing cast! Lily James, who played Cinderella, was perfection! She was graceful and lovely.
The movie also has a magical element which is so quirky, fun, and well, magical! {Ha...if only I was a better writer!} But Cinderella truly needed and deserved this magic! We will be purchasing this movie as soon as it's out!
I made some prints of my favorite quote from the movie. You can download them for free by clicking on the image. Also, Be sure to check out the Hooray Shop for other products and prints!
Boston's Prince Charming Costume, and Sophie's Cinderella Dress are from Amazon.
Sophie's dress is the same one she wore for Halloween to be the Blue Fairy. Check out that post here
I made the head band and necklace with some ribbon and elastic.
