Strawberry Banana Smoothie Bowl - Recipe

Everyone who knows me, knows I love smoothies. They are my favorite food! When I discovered smoothie bowls I was in heaven! With this pregnancy hunger of mine I am always craving fresh fruit and a good smoothie. And with my tiny tot who dislikes bananas, smoothies and smoothie bowls have been on the menu a lot! {Gotta sneak those bananas in somehow!}
I thought I'd share with you our favorite recipe! And the ingredients are staples we almost always have on hand!
Ingredients: Makes 4 servings
2 frozen Bananas {fresh is ok if you don't have frozen!}
1-2 fresh bananas
10 Strawberries
1/4 cup peanut butter
1 cup vanilla yogurt
Your favorite Granola blend
*Ice cubes - optional
Throw 2 frozen bananas, 5-6 strawberries, yogurt, and peanut butter in the blender. Blend until smooth.  Using frozen bananas really thickens the consistency. If you didn't use frozen, that's ok! If you like it to be colder and thicker, just blend in 3-4 ice cubes.
Slice up bananas and strawberries. Pour smoothie into serving bowls. Top with the granola, and your sliced fruit.

*You can use frozen strawberries for the smoothie too, but you want fresh for the toppings. Also, picking out a granola with nuts in it is really yummy. The one I bought has, flax, hemp, sunflower and pumpkin seeds. So yummy and so good for you!
I mentioned earlier that my little guy doesn't really like bananas. Mostly because of the slimy texture. It's always been a struggle of ours. Bananas are the perfect baby food, but my baby has always refused them. Our little guy ate these sliced bananas up while mixed into the granola and smoothie. That sure is a mom win if I ever did see one! And he wins for eating healthy too!
