Hooray Littles - Spring Break with friends

Over spring break we traveled down to California to meet up with some friends who all had babies.  Because we recently moved to Utah my friends hadn't met little Davis and I hadn't met their new babies as well. They all brought their Hooray Littles swaddles along and we had a fun little play date.

From Left to Right: Deb & baby Preston, Amelia & baby Scout, Aubrey & baby Sadie, Ashley & Baby Eleanor, Sandra {me... wink!} and baby Davis.

We watch the older siblings play at the park while us mamas chatted and compared baby stories.
It was so exciting to meet everyone's newest additions and see that they are benefiting from the Hooray Littles swaddle. They use it in their car seat, stroller, bouncer,  and even just in mommie's arms.
It was also fun to see which color swaddle each mom picked for their baby and how they fit different personalities and styles.
It was fun afternoon filled with laughter and happiness! Happy babies = happy mamas! And that is what Hooray Littles is all about!

Candy Cane Lollipops: How to!

It's spring cleaning time and I've been trying to dejunk and organize our house. After cleaning out  my pantry the other day I found 4 boxes of candy canes. Instead of throwing them away I decided to think of some way to put them to good use.
I had this idea to make them into lollipops but wasn't sure if it would work.  Well you can see by the pictures that it did!
My kids seriously thought I was the coolest! And they fully enjoyed their new treat!
What you'll need:
candy canes
skewers or small lollipop sticks
cookie sheet
parchment paper
A couple of tips before you begin:

1. Keep an eye on it because you don't want it to melt too much. You simply want it to be pliable.
2. Only do one candy cane at a time because they cool down quickly.
3. You can use 1 candy cane to make a smaller lollipop, or use 2-3 to make bigger lollipop.
4. If you have broken pieces, use them! They will stick together.

How to:
Pre-heat oven to 275 degrees. Place a piece of parchment paper on a cookie sheet.
Place 1 candy cane on the cookie sheet and place in oven for 3-5 minutes. Take out and slowly bend starting at the top that is already arched. Bend until it creates a spiral and the entire candy cane is wrapped around. While it is still hot, poke a skewer in at the bottom up to the center of the lollipop. Then find a cute little someone to enjoy this yummy treat!
Isn't this so much more fun than just throwing those candy canes away?!!
